My fellow independent authors, PA's, & upcoming authors

Often we're asked what inspires us to write or what creates that passion to sit in front of our screens and write the stories we publish for readers. Well now let's connect and communicate and bring our collective thoughts together. Some of us are experienced veterans of this game while some of us are newbies trying to find our niche and readers. Something I believe as an indie community is that we must stick together and help bring in readers to each others' genres along with advice if things we haven't thought of yet or afraid to ask or risk to try as well. So here are some things I believe we can share to make things better and create a higher success rate for more indies and begin to bring out the better authors in all of us.

1. What inspired you to begin writing?
2. Do your characters speak to you or do you speak for them?
3. What is your favorite genre to create?
4. Do any of you veteran writers believe in taking a green writer (newbie) under your wing and bring out their skills.
5. How you find the expenses to pay for professional editing or cover art?
6. How do you deal with low star reviews?
7. Do you place any aspects of your life/yourself into your work?
8. How do you connect to your readers when advertising your work on FB/Twitter/Etc.?
9. How do you figure out how many books go into your series?
10. How open are you to say once a week sharing a different genre or author on your page to expose them to new readers?
BONUS: If you could compare your writing to a current published author who might that be? (I'll pre answer this one for myself-I would say I'm kind of like Nicholas Sparks, I love writing about the South with a darker twist but bring out my characters to draw in my readers to connect to their back stories.)

Other than that please be respectful, open, and honest with additional comments after the questions please be welcoming to all comments and suggestions. We are here for each other as a community, not compeition let the professionals do that, we need each other to climb to that next platform.

Creativindie marketing review

I read 3 things to do to be successful at independent publishing & all I can say is I do follow those 3 steps to the best of my ability.

Step 1 Be Professional- I try to connect to most of my readers and reach out to them. I help promote & support my fellow indie authors as well with advice & posting on my pages.

Step 2 How Bad Do You Want It- That's easy I'm an independent author from a small town of course I want it all who writes that doesn't want it all? Granted I have no budget left for the year & money is tight since my wife & I lost good incomes but that doesn't mean I'm going to give up either. Where's there's a will there's a way & I will continue to grow my brand.

Step 3 Don't Give Up...EVER- All I can say is if you meet me you'll get the sense I don't know how to give up. I love what I do & I'm going keep getting better as time goes on. You can't be the best at half assing what you want & expect to get gold out of thin air. As an entertainer/writer you have to continue to evolve & learn from others as well as yourself.

A new week

Greetings everyone, it's been a few days since I've posted on here, but that's because I'm staying busy with editing the first half of my next Shadow Wolves series novel, Tears of Blood. My goal is to have the first half finished before Thanksgiving and begin writing the second half shortly after for the my personal deadline of January and I still have plenty to write and then edit. That being said, I want to hear from you, authors, reviewers, bloggers, everyone on anything you're doing at the moment. One thing I try to be is interactive with my fans and followers.

My last two new fans couldn't put Shadow Wolves Youthful Inexperience down at all. I'm growing with female readers who are falling in love with the trio and even enjoy one of two female characters too, so something for you out there looking for something new to enjoy and review. There's a growing list to find out what happens in Shadow Wolves Tears of Blood; so don't miss out on the growing trend of a story worth reading.

(Don't miss out on the missing pieces, it's available on Amazon and Kindles everywhere, or if you prefer a traditional paperback that's on Amazon as well.)

Weekend Review

Greetings to everyone, another weekend has come and sadly gone, it'll be a late night once more editing and writing more for Shadow Wolves Tears of Blood. Throughout Shadow Wolves Youthful Inexperience you got to meet the trio and see what drove them into the darkness and what it takes to pull them back out before they dig themselves in too deep into the world of evil temptations. Now with Shadow Wolves Tears of Blood it's going to be an all out war. Times have changed and soon you'll get to experience just how bad things have become since you last read about Josh, James, and Justin beginning to finally figure out life. Not only will you meet some new characters but this is also the start of spinning things away from the trio after the next book and introduce both the main characters for Shadow Wolves Regenesis-a work in progress at this point, but you'll also get introduced to the main character for my next series G.C. Don't forget there's still the code in Shadow Wolves Youthful Inexperience that no one has broken yet and to see the rules for this contest for the first three books please visit my Face Book page under the "About Me" section. Good luck and enjoy reading about the wolves.

A Way to View Them.

First let's take a moment to keep those taken from friends and family in France and however you believe may they be blessed and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you affected...

Now back to business- I was going over some notes from editing and it dawns on me, my trio, my mini wolf pack are a modern day version of the 3 Musketeers only with a darker twist to the story to see how their troublesome times helps them become the antihero/heroes they're destined to become later in the series. One thing I pride myself in this series is you get the origin story first rather than meet the characters and wonder what made them the way are in life. So there's a new twist that should shed a little light on their existence.

Who I am

I am the author of Shadow Wolves: Youthful Inexperience a completed young adult fiction novel that takes place just outside of the foothills of West Virginia. I write Young/New Adult Fiction that draws out the raw emotion of the characters you'll come to love, and some you'll love to hate. I like to keep my readers intrigued by what comes next with each flip of the page. As you meet the boys in this story you will find that what seems like your typically average trouble making teenagers, are so much more.
